CONCLUSIONS

Even though Translation it's been underrated  as a teaching strategy for a long time and only used for communication purposes instead of education, we now can say that it's slowly coming back to the academic scene by L2 experts, due to it's pertinence as an effective writing and reading activity, it's now consider as a sucessful path to enhance vocabulary, critical reading and writing and cultural compentences, among others. Taking this into consideration, all of the authors studied in our essays, refered to translation as an acceptable method to achieve certain learning goals, leaving behind the pre-conception that Translation is an old and obsolete teaching methodology.  They state  that it is possible to used Translation as a learning strategy by addapting it to the learner's goal and the specific skill to be developed.
